- Lenny McLean (Barry the Baptist) was a professional boxer (without gloves) before becoming an actor. The film was dedicated to him after news of the actor’s death from cancer arrived a month before the premiere.
- Vinnie Jones went straight from the police station to his first day of filming. He had been arrested for assaulting his neighbor.
- Guy Ritchie couldn't decide on the ending of his film, so he had to shoot it several times. This is why Tom's head is covered with a headdress. By the time the shooting process seemed to be finally completed, the actor had grown his hair and refused to cut it.
- Before meeting Guy Ritchie, Jason Statham worked as a street vendor. He had to play himself in his former role at the very beginning of the film.
