What's left behind the scenes
- According to Elena Kiper, one of the producers of the t.A.T.u. group, it was Moodysson's film that inspired the idea of using a lesbian image to promote the project. The film's international English title, 'Show Me Love,' coincides with the title of one of t.A.T.u.'s songs.
- In 2005, a theatrical adaptation of this film was staged in Basel, Switzerland.
- In Denmark, the film is recommended to teachers by 'Det Danske Filminstitut' for use in the school curriculum.
- The final scene, where Elin and Agnes walk out of the school toilet together, is a literal coming out – in English, the expression 'coming out' (disclosure, outing) or 'coming out of the closet' describes the process of a person voluntarily and openly acknowledging their homosexuality.
