What's left behind the scenes

  • Director Ian Nelms spoke in an interview about the difficulties of filming the film’s final action scene. The challenges involved coordinating the crowd, positioning the actors, and organizing the overall geography of the scene. Filming in the same location lasted five days, but due to weather conditions, the completion of filming had to be moved to another location. As a result, filming had to take place in numerous locations over the course of a week. In addition, the shootout between the characters of Kenneth Miller and Orlando Bloom had to be filmed separately: with one actor on one day, and with the other a week later.
  • Director Eshom Nelms spoke about how Andy MacDowell came to be cast as the villain. When choosing actors for roles, he and his brother Ian Nelms generally like to make unconventional decisions and cast people who will definitely surprise viewers with their appearance on screen in an unusual role. Eshom and Ian Nelms enjoyed MacDowell’s performance in Steven Soderbergh’s drama “Sex, Lies, and Videotape” (1989) and Harold Ramis’s melodrama “Groundhog Day” (1993), and both decided to invite her to a role that would be noticeably different from those she usually plays.
