What's left behind the scenes

  • Most of the monsters were conceived in the early 2000s, when the film was planned to be called "The Worst Scenario," enlist the help of genre fans, and use them as extras. The plot initially revolved around the undead, into which German soldiers were transformed. They emerged from the sea and killed beachgoers. Work on the project began in 2004, but in 2009 it was officially closed, and the creative team turned to work on "Frankenstein's Army." Only two trailers released in 2006 remained from "The Worst Scenario."
  • The warning signs “Nicht antasten” (“Do not touch”) are written incorrectly. It would be correct to write “Nicht berühren”.
  • Ivan is wearing a Bulgarian helmet, the kind that began to be issued to servicemen after 1972.
