What's left behind the scenes
- The film is based on the «Hitman» series of computer games (2000 – present, IO Interactive).
- In one of the film's scenes, you can spot the Hitman game on which this movie is based.
- Vin Diesel is an executive producer of the film and was originally supposed to play the role of Agent 47.
- The role of St. Petersburg's "Central" railway station in the film was played by Moscow's "Kyiv" station, but only from the outside. The interior was filmed in Sofia.
- Timothy Olyphant's character wears a Rolex GMT Master II watch.
- The design of the special forces gear was inspired by «Werewolf» (1999) and «Stray Dog: Kerberos Platoon» (1991).
- The duration of the director's cut of the film is 94 minutes.
- Actor David Bateson, who voiced Agent 47 in the Hitman game series, auditioned for the role of Hitman but was turned down. Fans of the series started a petition in support of the actor, but the role of the killer went to Timothy Olyphant. Bateson negatively assessed Olyphant’s performance, noting that Olyphant, with his shaved head, looked too young, and not all scenes in the film were successful.
- The scene where Yuri Markov is tied to a bathtub with barbed wire by Agent 47 is a reference to the «Saw» film series, and the main character also utters the «signature» phrase from «Saw»: «Live or die. The choice is yours.»
- When the wounded American is sitting in the ambulance, it is clearly visible how he buttons his shirt, but later, during a conversation with a Russian security officer, his shirt is completely unbuttoned again.
- When the bullet hits the president in the head, a man in a blue jacket is clearly visible in the background. A second later, when a wide shot is shown, he is gone.
- The photographer in the white vest is seen in different locations during frame changes – sometimes he is in front of the theater entrance, and sometimes a few meters in front of the president.
- When the hitman puts the rifle barrel into the case, it is visible that the bomb is already in the case, but at the same second (00:12:33) there is a frame change – he begins to move his hands away from the barrel, and the bomb disappears.
- The hero would not have been able to pick up the automatic weapons from the table so skillfully – firstly, in the preceding frames they were not lying in the center of the table, but at the edges; secondly, a pile of other weapons was lying between them, which, by the way, disappears during the frame change (00:58:19).
- In one of the film's scenes, several FSB officers can be noticed. However, the abbreviation is written incorrectly – the letter 'C' on their jackets is reversed.
- One shot features the Kazan Cathedral in St. Petersburg, but the caption reads "Moscow".

- When Agent 47 throws a Kedr submachine gun at Boris on the 62nd minute, it can be noticed that a suitcase with explosives and shards of a broken champagne bucket are already lying on the table in front of Belikov, although Agent throws the suitcase only in the next frame.
- On the 66th minute of the film, when Nika and Agent 47 are driving in a car, it is stated that they are on the Russian-Turkish border. In reality, there is no land border between the Russian Federation and Turkey.
