What's left behind the scenes
- The creation of the mannequins used in the film was inspired by the popular Body Works exhibition by German anatomist Gunther von Hagens, where real corpses covered in plastic served as exhibits. The mannequins looked so realistic that the film's consultants even suggested using them as teaching aids.
- The door that in the film leads to a room in the morgue lined with stainless steel actually opened into the cafeteria of the Munich University of Technology.
