What's left behind the scenes
- With this film, Peggy Holmes wanted to pay tribute to J.M. Barrie's 1904 play 'Peter Pan' and the book of the same name, which inspired Walt Disney to make an animated film in 1953.
- The film crew strived to make the pirate ship as realistic as possible. To achieve this, the artists and set designers went to the coast to study shipbuilding theory, familiarize themselves with professional terminology, and understand the structure of a sea vessel.
