What's left behind the scenes

  • The cartoon was initially planned for television broadcast, but ultimately was released in theaters.
  • No music was written for the cartoon.
  • Initially, a second cartoon was planned, which was to be the final episode, following the 'Diary' series, at the end of which Arnold finds a map and decides to go to the jungle to search for his parents. It is known that the screenplay for the second full-length cartoon was written a long time ago by Craig Bartlett, and he himself spoke about it a lot in interviews and chats with fans. 'Nickelodeon' initially liked the idea of a sequel, but after the first part's commercial failure, the situation changed dramatically: the project was frozen and postponed indefinitely. Craig Bartlett was offered to work at 'Nickelodeon' on a conditional basis, and after some time, he left the channel. The main problem, however, is that the rights to the cartoon series and all its sequels remain with 'Nickelodeon'.
