What's left behind the scenes
- There is not a single interior shot in the entire film, as the storyline unfolds outdoors. According to the director and screenwriter Alain Gerodie, everything takes place in the vicinity of the lake mentioned in the title.
- No improvisation was allowed on set. Every scene and its dialogue were filmed exactly as written in the script. Even the erotic scenes were pre-written and rehearsed repeatedly.
