What's left behind the scenes

  • According to Frank Sinatra and Sandra Dee, the actors signed a contract to participate in the filming of the movie. However, neither actor appeared in the film.
  • Working titles of the film: "Mr., Will You Marry Me?", "Lady Loves Me", "The Only Game in Town", "The Only Girl in Town", and "That Magical Touch".
  • In the United Kingdom, the film was released under the title "Love in Las Vegas" to avoid scandal due to another musical film, also released by Metro Goldwyn Mayer, with a similar name. Dan Dailey starred in that film.
  • Filming dates: July 15, 1963 – September 16, 1963.
  • The romantic intrigue between the film stars Elvis Presley and Ann-Margret was sensational and caused much gossip. However, Elvis and Ann remained friends until his death.
  • In 1965, Ann-Margret received a Golden Laurel award in the nomination "Best Female Musical Performance".
  • The film premiered in New York on April 20, 1964. On June 17, the film was released worldwide. By the end of 1964, the film ranked 11th on the list of the year's "blockbuster" films and returned over $5 million to its creators.
  • The film's credits did not list Presley's manager, Colonel Tom Parker, who worked on the film as a technical advisor.
