What's left behind the scenes

  • The film includes many scenes shot for Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman's "Toxic Avenger Part II" (1989).
  • Mark Torglu was offered to reprise his role as Melvin, but he was dissatisfied with the fee.
  • According to Rick Collins, three children who had minor roles in the film were very afraid of him in his Devil makeup during filming. Once he managed to convince two of them that it was just makeup, that it could even be touched, and they stopped being afraid. However, he frightened the third child during a similar 'experiment,' which he later deeply regretted.
  • One of the scenes was not filmed among sets on the soundstage, but inside a store that sold video cassettes.
  • The second part of the film's title, 'The Last Temptation of Toxie,' is a reference to Martin Scorsese's drama 'The Last Temptation of Christ' (1988). The film's content is also a reference – Toxie is tempted by a job at a certain company for money, and there he has to face the Devil himself.
  • The budget for the third film in the franchise was significantly lower than the budget for the second film (it was only one-fifth of the budget of a film from the same year), as a significant number of scenes, stunts, and special effects had already been paid for during the production of the second film, and they were filmed almost simultaneously. Troma Entertainment managed to release the third film with minimal costs.
  • Melvin's father appears at the end of "The Toxic Avenger Part II", but does not reappear in the third film of the franchise and is not even mentioned once.
