  • Francis Ford Coppola is credited in the film's credits without a middle name.
  • Francis Ford Coppola assisted Roger Corman on the set of the action film "Young Racers" (1963) in Ireland, and Corman allowed him to simultaneously shoot "Dementia 13" and use his set, equipment, crew, and actors Luana Anders (1938-1996), William Campbell (1926-2011), and Patrick Magee (1924-1982) on the condition that it did not interfere with his own shooting schedule.
  • The filming of the movie took 9 days.
  • Initially, the film was supposed to be simply titled "Dementia." The number 13 was added to the title when it turned out that a film with the same name already existed in English – "Madness" from 1955.
