- The role of the hospital was played by the former high school building in Sault Ste. Marie, in the Canadian province of Ontario. The building was demolished shortly after filming wrapped.
- The filming was funded through crowdfunding.
- At the beginning of the film, one of the patients is watching the classic horror film "Night of the Living Dead" (George Romero, 1968).
