What's left behind the scenes
- Problems arose during the filming of the car crash scene, so it had to be shot several times using different cars. During the filming of one of the takes, a stuntman suffered injuries to both legs.
- The brain surgery was performed by a real neurosurgeon, although the brain itself was a prop.
- In the original script's finale, it was revealed that the spirit of Virginia's deceased mother would occasionally possess her, and she would commit murders during these moments, with no recollection afterward. The producers decided this ending was unsuitable and changed it during filming.
