- The explosion in the film was a free interpretation of the 2004 Cologne bombing carried out by neo-Nazis against Turkish immigrants, when a nail-filled bomb hidden in a bicycle exploded in front of a Turkish barbershop. 22 people were injured, 4 of them seriously.
