What's left behind the scenes

  • Until 1976, it was known as "Kitty and Stud's Party."
  • This was Sylvester Stallone's first role in a movie. The actor received a fee of two hundred dollars for the two days of filming. According to Stallone himself, who was penniless and homeless at the time, he didn't care at that moment whether to rob someone or appear in a film.
  • In 1976, the film was re-released under the new title "The Italian Stallion" after Stallone's success in "Rocky" (1976).
  • In November 2010, the rights to the film and the original footage were sold at an eBay auction for 270,000 pounds sterling.
