What's left behind the scenes
- Jans Ford decided to make this film as a protest against the way the investigation into his brother's murder was conducted in 1992. Ford's brother, who was 24 at the time, argued with a white mechanic and was killed in the ensuing fight. The killer wasn't even charged.
- Work on the film lasted 10 years. During this time, director Jans Ford shot over 500 hours of footage.
