- A well-known Swedish porn actress participated in the filming, which took place in Sweden.
- “Immoral Tales” was conceived in 1973 as a film of six stories. Two others were also filmed, but “Private Collection” (Une collection particulière) was released as a separate short film, while “The True Story of the Beast of Gévaudan” (La véritable historie de la bête du Gévaudan) formed the basis for the feature film “The Beast” (La bête) (1975).
- The actor playing Pope Alexander VI is credited as “Jacopo Berinici.” Interestingly, “Jacopo Berenici” was a literary pseudonym used by director Chris Marker – a friend and collaborator of Borovchik.
- “Immoral Tales” was the first erotic film shown on French television (Antenne 2 channel) in 1978, however the fourth novella was omitted due to the Pope's death.
