- Initially, the battalion consisted of 800 people, but due to losses during the Battle of Shanghai, by the beginning of the defense of the Sihang Warehouse, the battalion’s strength was just over 400. However, the defenders of the warehouse went down in history as the "800 Heroes".
- The Sihang Warehouse building had no strategic importance, but stood on the bank of the Suzhou River, on the other side of which was the International Settlement. Chiang Kai-shek ordered a defense to buy time to withdraw the remaining troops and to demonstrate to the West China’s determination to continue the war.
- The full version of the film has a runtime of 160 minutes.
- The film was scheduled to premiere on June 15, 2019, at the Shanghai International Film Festival, but it was canceled due to censorship issues – allegedly, the film glorified the Kuomintang army.
