What's left behind the scenes
- Rachel Zegler was initially offered the role of Gina, which was eventually played by Carla Tous, but she later left the project due to the SAG-AFTRA strike (July 14 – November 9, 2023), and Tous was cast in the role.
- Paul King, the director of the first two films in the franchise (2014 and 2017), decided not to direct this film, but still took an active part in the project – he came up with the idea for the third film in the franchise and also served as an executive producer.
