What's left behind the scenes
- Steven Seagal was initially considered for the role of the main villain. Jean-Claude Van Damme also had a chance to get the part.
- The film crew imposed a $20 fine if anyone's phone rang during filming. In February, the total amounted to $600. The money was donated to charity.
- The sword Kenji fights with is a Yuan dynasty sword, traditional Chinese, while Lee fights with a katana – traditional Japanese weaponry.

- A week before the end of filming, Max von Sydow celebrated his 78th birthday right on the set.
