What's left behind the scenes
- Roman Karimov was originally slated to direct the film.
- For her role in the film, Serbian actress Milena Radulović learned Russian.
- At the 2-minute mark of the film, a character is shown tapping a syringe filled with medication with their finger. This is usually done to remove air bubbles from the liquid, but in this case, the syringe plunger is positioned so that the syringe contains approximately half medication and half air. Therefore, tapping the syringe only creates more air bubbles in the liquid.
- Descending into a real mine shaft would be impossible. The diameter of the upper part of the Kola Superdeep Borehole is 92 cm, and the lower part is 21.5 cm.
- At the 25th minute, a seascape is shown, and the waves are moving away from the shore.
