What's left behind the scenes

  • The original title translates to "Fare."
  • The entire film was shot in 6 days, and all the scenes inside the taxi were filmed using projection in a studio. All outdoor scenes were filmed in Pasadena and Palmdale, California.
  • The vintage taxi shown in the film was not in the best condition, and often refused to start when it needed to be filmed. On the last day of outdoor shooting, the crew struggled for 15 minutes, but the car finally started, and after that the engine was not turned off all day. Fortunately, there was enough fuel in the tanks without needing to refuel.
  • No one was ever found for the role of the dispatcher, even after filming had already finished and the film was being edited. Producer David Middel performed the role. Towards the end of post-production, Jason Stewart was found for the role and recorded all his lines in just three hours.
  • The original title translates to "Farewell".
