What's left behind the scenes
- Vince Vaughn recorded lines for his character (another imaginary friend), but they were cut during post-production.
- The grandmother is watching Henry Koster's 1950 fantasy comedy "Harvey" about a man whose friends include a two-meter-tall rabbit named Harvey, invisible to everyone else.
- The film's promotional campaign included, among other things, interviews with Ryan Reynolds, who voiced one of the characters, and Randall Park, who, interrupting Reynolds' objections, constantly referred to himself as John Krasinski (who worked on the project as director, screenwriter, producer, and one of the voice actors). This played on a scene from the series "The Office" (2005-2013), in which Krasinski and Jenna Fischer, with the help of their friend Steve (played by Park), prank a character played by Rainn Wilson.
- Michael Sarnoski played a cameo role in the film, and co-wrote the screenplay for the science fiction drama "A Quiet Place: Day One" (Sarnoski, 2024) with John Krasinski, but this episode was cut during post-production.
- Emily Blunt (who voiced the unicorn) had no lines in the script. She simply acted naturally, which is why the unicorn giggles so much. All her lines were usually recorded on the first take.
