What's left behind the scenes
- The film is based on a documentary and a book of the same name by Andrew Ross Sorkin.
- Each actor was provided with a set of DVDs containing information about their characters (video interviews, testimonies, newspaper clippings, excerpts from books by the character the actor was to portray) so they could learn how their real-life counterparts looked, walked, and spoke. In addition, seven actors met with their counterparts, including William Hurt, Billy Crudup, Paul Giamatti, and Cynthia Nixon.
