What's left behind the scenes
- The O'Donnell house features a post-mortem photograph. These were very popular in the second half of the 19th century. Photography was an expensive luxury in that era, and photographers were usually only invited for weddings to photograph the newlyweds. When a person died, the remaining family members would take a post-mortem photo with them.
- Anna and Lib (played by Kila Lord Cassidy and Florence Pugh respectively) discuss Catherine of Siena (1347-1380), who fasted devoutly, which some believe led to her early death. Catherine of Siena is the patron saint of all those who are mocked for their faith, as well as all nurses.
