What's left behind the scenes
- The film is based on Matthew Quick's novel "The Silver Linings Playbook" (2008).
- Mark Wahlberg could have played the main role.
- The film Pat and Tiffany are watching on Tiffany's iPod is "Singin' in the Rain" (1952).
- The role of the brazen neighbor reporting on Patrick Solitano was played by Matthew Russell, son of David O. Russell. It is known that Matthew himself suffers from bipolar disorder.
- The Eagles games mentioned in the film take place in 2008. However, you can spot a fan wearing a jersey with the name Nnamdi Asomugha, who wasn't on the team until 2011.
- When Pat reads Nikki's message in the dance studio, the pendant around his neck is hanging in front. When he leaves and the camera changes angle, the pendant shifts to the back.
- The Eagles games mentioned in the film took place during the 2008 season, but they are not shown in the order they actually occurred.
- While Pat and Tiffany discuss Nikki's reply in Tiffany's apartment, his pendant changes position several times.
- When Pat returns home at the beginning of the film, he and his father are standing and talking, and his necklace disappears during a cut.
