What's left behind the scenes
- The original title of the film translates to "Deadly Raid".
- Initially, Mike Shinoda's music wasn't featured in the film. A new soundtrack was commissioned from Shinoda only after Sony Pictures acquired "The Raid" for North American distribution.
- To prepare the actors for filming, they were sent for a week to a Marine training base called "KoPaSKa" (Komando Pasukan Katak).
- In the film, Andy says the line, "What I do, I do very well. But what I do isn't very good" – this is a line from Wolverine. It was first spoken by Wolverine in the comic book of the same name in 1982 by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller.
- All the weapons used in the film are airsoft replicas of real firearms. Spent casings and muzzle flashes during shooting were added using computer graphics.
- The original title of the film translates to "Fatal Raid".
