What's left behind the scenes
- Supergirl was created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino and first appeared in Action Comics #252 in 1959.
- Helen Slater trained for three hours a day for three months for the flying scenes, in which she was suspended on cables from the arm of a 60-meter crane.
- Initially, Brooke Shields was considered for the role of Supergirl, but the idea was abandoned due to the actress's height (1 m 82 cm).
