What's left behind the scenes

  • In the film, Kelly Brook's character was given preference over Juan Pablo Di Pace's. Notably, in real life, Kelly Brook dated Billy Zane for almost three years.
  • Right at the beginning, during the credits, a wave throws Jennifer onto the shore, lifting her green wrap above her waist, revealing white bikini bottoms. As she gets on all fours, the wrap already covers her hips, concealing the bikini, although the movement isn't interrupted by the cut.
  • During the love scene, Jack ties Jennifer's hands with a belt while she is still wearing a bra. Later in the scene, the bra is gone, although it couldn't be removed without being damaged.
  • After Jennifer and Manuel find each other on the deserted island and the hero first invites the heroine to swim naked, she enters the sea completely nude, but emerges wearing a bikini.
  • The heroine claims she is not a good swimmer. However, later, after an unsuccessful attempt to escape on a boat, Jennifer and Manuel swim a long distance back to the island, and she performs excellently, even overtaking Manuel.
  • While Jennifer is drinking from a coconut or fixing her hair, her green wrap alternately covers her chest and then her waist. The wrap itself isn't fastened or tied and one might assume it's simply slipping off her body. However, there are no movements adjusting the wrap, while the movements are not interrupted by cuts.
  • While Jennifer is drinking from a coconut, a strand of wet hair lies on her shoulder. In subsequent shots, the strand disappears.
  • During the sex scene, a strand of wet hair clings to Jennifer's neck. In subsequent shots, her neck is bare.
  • Jack spent about two days in saltwater after the crash. Nevertheless, he had a fully functional Zippo lighter, which he used for a year on a deserted island. Which is technically impossible without refueling.
  • Considering the time spent on the island, the characters did not get any tans or sunburns, and the men's beards grew very long over a prolonged period.
