What's left behind the scenes

  • Filming took place from July 31 to October 21, 2000 in Los Angeles and Southern California.
  • Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster, who played the lead female roles in the film, did not have driver's licenses at the time of filming.
  • At the 1-minute mark of the film, you can notice that the boxes of electronics in the shipping container are not secured in any way, but simply stacked on top of each other. In reality, such fragile cargo is wrapped in plastic wrap, packed in large boxes, or placed on pallets to prevent damage from shaking and movement during transport.
  • At the 2-minute mark of the film, one of the robbers jumps onto the cab of the truck to then get inside the cabin. In this scene, you can notice that the driver continues to drive the truck with a completely indifferent expression, as if nothing is happening around him.
  • At the 3rd minute of the film, the robber's car drives under the semi-trailer of a truck. In this scene, it can be noticed that the semi-trailer has only one rear axle, although two minutes earlier the truck left the port with a trailer that had two axles.
  • At the 5th minute of the film, Brian sits at the bar and opens the magazine he brought. In the next shot, he does it again.
  • At the 12th minute of the film, Hector points to his car, which is located somewhere off-screen. At that moment, the same car can be seen standing in front of the camera on the right side of the frame.
  • When Mia gets into Letty's car at the 24th minute of the film, it can be noticed that a stunt double is driving instead of Michelle Rodriguez.
  • At the 25th minute of the film, as Dominic walks down the street, a Ford police car drives past him. When the police officer notices him in the next shot and makes a U-turn, the car turns into a Chevrolet.
  • At the 25th minute of the film, Brian picks up Dominic, who is fleeing the police, in an alley. The scene contradicts logic, as Brian was not near Dominic when he was spotted by the patrol. Also, at the beginning of the scene, only one car was driving down the alley in the distance: either a police car without its lights on, or Brian's car.
  • When Dominic gets into Brian’s car at the 25th minute of the film, he doesn’t pay any attention to the hole in the floor that Brian sustained during the race.
  • At the 31st minute of the film, when Mia undresses in front of the mirror, the operator’s elbow can be briefly seen in the reflection on the left.
  • At the 40th minute of the film, when Jesse inserts a floppy disk into the computer, it can be noticed that the power switch on the system unit is in the off position.
  • At the 52nd minute of the film, Brian runs for cover in plain sight of Tran’s people as they drive into the garage, but none of them notice him.
  • At the 52nd minute of the film, during Ted's interrogation, the number and size of oil stains on his shirt change with each cut.
  • At the 67th minute of the film, Brian stops at a traffic light next to a Ferrari driven by a bald driver. When Brian races him on the highway, it can be seen that a driver with hair is behind the wheel of the Ferrari in one of the shots.
  • At the 71st minute of the film, when Letty is talking to the racer, her car is fitted with black racing seats. When she prepares to start in the next scene, the racing seats are replaced with gray standard ones.
  • At the 73rd minute of the film, Leon and Tran drive up to the start and stop. When Jesse takes the wheel instead of Leon, and Brian approaches him, Tran drives up to the start line again.
  • When Jesse starts the race against Tran at the 73rd minute of the film, it can be noticed that his car does not have brake calipers on the front wheels.
  • At the 73rd minute of the film, Tran arrives at the start in a black shirt, but after a cut, he begins the race and competes already in a black t-shirt.
  • At the 73rd minute of the film, during the race between Jesse and Tran, it can be noticed that different cars were used for filming shots inside the cabin and views from the outside. For example, Jesse's steering wheel braid and interior trim elements change, and for Tran, who arrived at the start in a convertible coupe with a soft top without side windows, a rigid roof with a protective frame and rear side windows are clearly visible.
  • At the 81st minute of the film, when Dominic overtakes the truck, it can be noticed that the upper bar of his car's double spoiler is missing.
  • At the 82nd minute of the film, Vince shoots out the windshield on the passenger side with a harpoon. When he prepares to make a second shot in the next scene, it can be noticed that the glass on the passenger side is again intact.
  • At the 84th minute of the film, when Dominic pulls up alongside the truck and tries to reach out to Vince, it can be noticed that instead of Vin Diesel's hand, dressed in a white t-shirt, the hand of a stuntman in a black sweatshirt is visible in one of the shots. The stuntman in black appears in the frame again when the trucker shoots out Dominic's car's tire with a shotgun, and he tries to keep it on the road.
  • At the 85th minute of the film, when the truck driver crashes into Letti's car, it can be noticed that Vince, who was previously on the truck's cab, disappears between frames.
  • At the 85th minute of the film, when Letti flies off the road, it can be noticed that a roll cage is installed in her car.
  • At the 86th minute of the film, Brian drives past Leon's car, which is parked on the side of the road, although the previous frame showed that it wasn't on the highway.
  • When Brian jumps onto the truck's cab at the 86th minute of the film to save Vince, it is clearly visible that Paul Walker is secured with a safety cable in this scene.
  • At the 87th minute of the film, Brian is talking on the phone, holding it in his right hand. In the next scene, he is already holding the phone in his left hand.
  • At the 93rd minute of the film, as Dominic walks to the car, gets in, and starts to drive away, the shadows in the courtyard reveal that neighboring scenes were filmed at completely different times of day.
  • At the 93rd minute of the film, during the chase with Tran and his accomplice on motorcycles and Brian in a car, they perform a jump using a ramp.
  • At the 94th minute of the film, as the motorcyclists fly over the road and land on it, a local resident in a white t-shirt can be seen on the balcony of a third-floor building, recording the filming process with a camera.
  • At the 95th minute of the film, Tran falls off his motorcycle next to a supermarket shopping cart. When Brian runs to him in the next scene, the cart disappears.
  • At the 97th minute of the film, when the approaching train is shown, the numbers and markings on it reveal that the footage is horizontally flipped.
  • At the 98th minute of the film, when Dominic crashes into a truck and begins to flip through the air, you can notice that a stunt double in a yellow helmet is driving the car instead of Vin Diesel.
  • At the 98th minute of the film, as Brian drives under Dominic's airborne Dodge, a roll cage can be seen inside Brian's car. The roll cage disappears in the next scene, when Brian stops to check if Dominic is alive.
  • The man driving the black Ferrari is the film's producer, Neil H. Moritz, who also produced another film starring Vin Diesel – 'XXX'.
