• During the filming of one scene involving weapons, a police patrol mistook the actors for bank robbers, as an actual robbery had occurred near the set. The actors' vehicle was pulled over, and everyone was ordered to exit the car with their hands visible.
• The film is based on real events that took place in Wichita, Kansas, USA. Two brothers broke into a house where, as it turned out, the homeowner, his girlfriend, and several friends were present. The criminals robbed, raped, and tortured their victims before killing everyone except one.
