The film was originally titled "Lockdown," but Sony decided to rename it to avoid confusion with another film of the same name released in 2002.
In an article for the German publication Berliner Kurier, Wolfgang Lindner recalls Steven Seagal's strange behavior on set. The actor was constantly accompanied by a Buddhist advisor, whose opinion on Seagal's karmic state was a sufficient reason for him to halt filming for the day.
