- The Trimar system operator consists of one head, however, due to a poorly positioned camera, the actor’s shoulders can be seen in some scenes.
- Initially, it was intended to be a serious science fiction film with a budget of $20 million. MGM reduced the budget to $8 million and ordered the plot to be changed to create a light, comedic science fiction action film.
