Short description
The lovely Hermia is to wed Demetrius, but she truly cares for Lysander. Hermia's friend, Helena, is in love with Demetrius, while other romantic entanglements abound in the woods, with married fairy rulers Titania and Oberon toying with various lovers and each other.
What's left behind the scenes
- Filming took place in a hangar and lasted 5 weeks, which inevitably affected the cast and crew. To make matters worse, the lush greenery, which initially made up a significant part of the set, soon wilted and began to rot, filling the air with various unpleasant odors.
- The comedy takes place in Greece. Filming on location took place in Tuscany, Italy, and at a studio in Rome.
- The mud fight between Kalista Flockhart and Anna Friel had to be filmed twice. It took 4 hours to wash the actresses and reapply their makeup after the first take.
