What's left behind the scenes
- The film's title translates as "Compassion for the Devil".
- Nicolas Cage came up with the idea to make his character red-haired himself.
- At the 63rd minute, when Joel Kinnaman's character examines his wounded leg and decides to bandage it with a belt, the handcuffs on his hand are fastened, but in the next shot the dangling handcuff is already unfastened. After the car accident at the 79th minute, the belt on his leg disappears.
- The film's title translates to "Sympathy for the Devil".
