What's left behind the scenes
- In one of his incarnations, Lavant's character appeared as an underground monster from Carax's previous work, "Merde" (part of the film "Tokyo!", 2008).
- Leos Carax wrote the role of a supermodel envisioning Kate Moss in the part. They had previously wanted to work together on another project, but it didn't happen. As it turned out, at the time filming began, Moss was preparing for her wedding and declined the role, which ultimately went to Eva Mendes.
