What's left behind the scenes

  • Filming took place in New York and Atlanta from mid-January to early March 2012.
  • In New York, when Madea gets out of the taxi to go to the bank, she asks George why he speaks with a French accent when he only spoke to her. She then says she can also speak French, referencing the garbled lyrics of the famous song "Lady Marmalade" ('Giuchie, Giuchie, ya ya dada...Mocha Chocalata ya ya'). At the beginning of the film, when Barbara flirts with Joe, she also utters phrases from this song.
