Short description
Craig and his cousin Day Day have finally moved out of their parents' houses and into their own crib, working nights at a local mall as security guards. When their house is robbed on Christmas Eve they set out to track down the culprit.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Initially, the character of Roach, to be played by Justin Pierce (1975-2000), was written into the original script, but the script was rewritten after Pierce, a British actor and skateboarder, committed suicide approximately six months after the release of the previous film in the 'Next Friday' franchise (Steve Carr, 2000).
  • Chris Tucker was asked to reprise his role in the third film of the franchise, but he declined. Less than an hour later, Mike Epps contacted the filmmakers and asked if he could play his character again.
  • The film was initially intended to be titled 'The Last Friday,' but it was decided that this was too similar to the title of Adam Marcus’s horror film 'Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday' (1993), and also, they wanted to leave the possibility open for sequels.
  • A significant portion of the wardrobe for the fictional store 'Pimps & Ho' in the film was created by Los Angeles fashion designer Mark Wachon, whose store on Melrose Avenue specialized in clubwear. Right next to his former store is 'Barbershop Club,' which inspired Ice Cube to film 'Barbershop' (Tim Story, 2002).
