Short description
Detectives Jake Doyle and Mary Kelly seek the help of an incarcerated serial killer named The Artist when a copycat killer strikes. While Mary searches for clues in The Artist's brilliant but twisted psyche, she and Jake are lured into a diabolical game of cat and mouse, racing against time to stay one step ahead of The Artist and his copycat.
What's left behind the scenes
- Director Mauro Borrelli was initially surprised when he was suggested to cast comedian Martin Lawrence in one of the roles. However, after meeting Lawrence, he was struck by the timbre of his voice. Due to Lawrence’s past (having performed in Washington nightclubs) and his ability to memorize large amounts of material, Borrelli decided it would be easy to work with him.
- Preparing for the role of an experienced detective who had seen a lot in life, Martin Lawrence gained weight and played Jake using the Stanislavski system.
