Jacques Villeret, Daniel Auteuil, Gad Elmaleh, and Patrick Timsit also played François Pignon in four other Veber films: "The Dinner Game" (1998), "Changing Looks" (2001), "The Valet" (2006), and "The Brats" (2008).
In this film, and in Francis Weber's "The Fugitives" (1986), Gérard Depardieu's character is named Jean-Luc.
