Short description

Lee is an insecure man afflicted with heroin withdrawal who is driven to pursue a young man named Allerton.

Director Luca Guadagnino was convinced by Daniel Craig to cast Drew Starkey in the role of Eugene Allerton.
Lee's vision of killing Allerton by trying to knock a glass off his head with a shot is based on an event from the life of writer William S. Burroughs, who unintentionally killed his wife in a similar manner.
