- The film company "Castle Rock Entertainment" is named after Castle Rock, Maine – the fictional town where the heroes of many Stephen King books live, including the novel "Needful Things".
- At the beginning of the film, in one of the scenes, a bandage is clearly visible on Sheriff Pangborn's left index finger, but in the next scene the bandage disappears.
