Short description
At Pacific Palisades High, a poor Latino falls hard for a troubled girl from the affluent neighborhood.
What's left behind the scenes
- Jay Hernandez doesn't speak Spanish well enough to speak it fluently, so he memorized many of his lines by ear.
- Many of the school scenes were actually filmed in a school building. The school principal really wanted students from that same school to be used as extras, even though they had no acting experience.
- At the twenty-first minute, when Nicole, Carlos, and Maddie are driving in the car, Carlos is sitting alone in the back seat. In the next shot, Nicole moves to sit with him, and a moment later she is sitting in the front again.
