What's left behind the scenes
- No computer graphics were used in creating the alien. Prop specialists created a full-body alien costume consisting of 11 prosthetics applied to Jade Kwon's body. Transforming the actress into the alien took 4 hours, the prosthetics were single-use, and replacements had to be constantly made. Initially, it was assumed that Kwon would undergo a full makeup application 12-15 times, but in reality, that number reached 30.
