What's left behind the scenes
- The car crash during the chase was unplanned. The car was supposed to make a left turn, but a collision occurred, and the trunk popped open, revealing sandbags needed for certain car stunts. Some footage had to be cut where the bags were visible.
- In an alternate ending, there was a scene where the hero, played by Jeff Bridges, figures out what happened to his father based on Lang's, played by Tim Robbins, strange behavior.
