Short description
It's five years later and Tony Manero's Saturday Night Fever is still burning. Now he's strutting toward his biggest challenger yet - making it as a dancer on the Broadway stage.
What's left behind the scenes
- In one interview, the film's director Sylvester Stallone stated that if he had the chance to remake «Lost», he would make it much darker and more realistic, and the characters «wouldn't be dressed like parrots».
- For this role, John Travolta trained almost 5 months under Stallone's guidance, 6 days a week for 14 to 16 hours a day. He lost about 10 kg.
- Initially, Paramount Pictures wanted Sylvester Stallone himself to play the Broadway director (he acted as director on this project), but he declined, partly because the studio couldn't pay him his usual $2 million fee, and partly to avoid overshadowing the lead actor John Travolta.
