The cars that played the main roles in the film are a Chevrolet Corvette, a Cadillac CTS sport wagon, a Pontiac Solstice, a Lincoln Continental, and a custom buggy. They belong to the film’s author, Dax Shepard. Furthermore, since the film was shot without studio control and had a very modest budget, Dax and many other actors performed their own car stunts.
The film's budget was approximately $2 million. Of that, $1 million went to copyright holders for the songs used in the film.
