What's left behind the scenes

  • The trailer features the poem "Boots" by Rudyard Kipling, performed by Taylor Holmes (a 1915 recording). This recording of the poem is used by the US military in preparing servicemen for psychological torture in captivity.
  • Following the release of "28 Weeks Later", executive producer and screenwriter Danny Boyle announced plans for a third film, tentatively titled "28 Months Later". However, in 2010, screenwriter Alex Garland stated that the rights to the franchise belonged to people who had fallen out and were not communicating. In 2019, Boyle and Garland stated that they were working on the project again, and in 2023 they confirmed they were ready to begin filming. Boyle offered Garland the directing role, but he was already filming "Men".
  • To congratulate actor Alfie Allen on finishing filming, Aaron Taylor-Johnson gave him a guitar.
