All the actors performed the stunts themselves, which they were very pleased about – especially Freddie Prinze Jr..
In the scene with Scooby-Doo, the egg, and the criminal – who played the latter – was Neil Fanning, who voices Scooby-Doo in the films.
All the costumes in the forensic science museum were fully functional, meaning they could be worn. Their characteristics are indicated on the corresponding plaques.
This is the fifth film starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Matthew Lillard together. They previously appeared together in "She's All That" (Robert Iscove, 1998), "Wing Commander" (Chris Roberts, 1999), "Summer Catch" (2001), and "Scooby-Doo" (Raja Gosnell, 2002).
